LUNCH & DINNER

BREAKFAST

Ethiopia is credited as the birthplace of the coffee bean. Coffee back home is much more than a grab and go. We’ll show you when you visit. Learn more here.

New to Ethiopian food? Welcome.

  • Fermented Ethiopian flatbread made from teff, the world’s tiniest grain accompanies every meal. It’s a plate, a utensil, a side all in one. Additional sides available upon request.

  • Berbere is a spice mix key to many Ethiopian dishes. Ours is made in-house from ingredients sourced from Ethiopia, and includes spices like chili peppers, coriander, garlic, ginger, and more.

  • Did you know? In Ethiopia, it’s common to feed each other, as an expression of community and respect. This is called gursha. Want to try it? Wash your hands before your meal and pick out a perfectly-composed bite to feed to your companion.

  • You’ll notice multiple dishes on the menu includes one of these words: Tibs, Wat, Fit Fit. In simple terms, tibs is a sliced meat pan fried with butter, garlic & onion; wat is a slow-cooked stew with carmelized onions, berbere and more; fit fit is a breakfast dish made from crumbled injera and other flavors.

  • Many of our dishes can be made vegan easily, just ask while you're ordering. Our injera does include a small amount of gluten (it's made with 4% wheat flour). We are happy to make a gluten-free injera for you if you call at least 1 day ahead of time and let us know.
